Not all chairs are created equal. I like dining chairs armless, with a high-back and, of course, comfortable. My design inspiration were the Denise Chairs in this photo:
Now, this is something I really have to go giddy about. I've been spending months trying to look for dining chairs. I know, I know, lots of them out there, but it's not easy to match one's preference with an item's price tag.

A challenge that we have with the bathroom is that we need to incorporate the color orange in it. More of a feng shui thing. If you're to look at the bathrooms at Edsa Shangri-la, each cubicle has a piece of big, orange tile in it. Thing is, I don't want orange tiles in the bathroom. So, we opted to bring in the orange through the accessories instead. I remember my friend, Christine Nunag, telling me that she moved to Angeles City in Pampanga despite the travel opportunities that she's been blessed with. It made me wonder why (aside from the fact that she was raised in Pampanga). We don't get to see each other much because of that. I can't imagine moving to the province since I was born and raised as a city girl. I was privileged enough to be invited to see their Fiestang Kuliat. After taking on that trip and seeing this video (which gave an LSS to a number of us), I understood why this is home and what makes her truly proud to be a Kapampangan. Things have been so busy at work that I opted to cook dinner tonight as therapy despite A's invitation to eat out so as not to tired myself some more (very lucky to have such a supportive hubby). When we got home, I realized that I'm a little tired to cook. So, I went for the quick fix meal again...pasta. After going through the pantry and fridge, I ended up with the following ingredients:
Well, you know me when it comes to the "s" word... I go in to see if there's anything interesting.
A few days back, a friend posted this on her Facebook wall: I haven't been paying attention to news much lately and seeing this photo made me realize how bad the situation is.
With our current work skeds for the past few months, A and I have been having trouble finding a good place to bring our geomancer to when he visits us in Manila. As I've mentioned in a previous post, he knows fresh, quality food when he tastes it. So trying to look for one that's open until late hours is a challenge on it's own.
During one of those late night search for good food and I guess we were just hungry already just trying to think of what to eat, we ended up in Nihonbanshi Tei located at the corner of Arnaiz Avenue and Amorsolo Street in Makati. |
