Not bad at all for our nest-building project =)
A's hotel room for his groom preps at Edsa Shangri-la had this really simple yet elegant looking chair paired with an ottoman. It's so cozy and comfy that I could loiter on it for a few hours. I knew I wanted a pair for both of us. And so, the chair-hunting begins. It's not easy to find a chair with the same body if you're on a budget. While scouting around, we bumped into this barrel chair. I prefer seat designs wherein I can put my feet up and do an Indian sit. I don't know why, I just do. We had the foam changed and reupholstered to make it more acceptable to our taste. We had a custom-made ottoman to look like the one in Shang. Paired up with the new and improved barrel chair, and here's what it looks: Eventually, we found one chair that has a similar body to the one in the inspiration photo. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a photo of it prior to reupholstering. But, this is how it looks like now: Paired with it's dedicated ottoman and compared to the inspiration chairs from Shangri-la, we get: our own nook chair inspiration chair from Edsa Shangri-la's Chi Premier Room Not bad at all for our nest-building project =)
