(image from She Knows) I call my belly tenant Scout, but that's just a maternal nickname. We still have a major task of coming up with Scout's legal name. As if that isn't difficult enough, my boss had to give me (well, she gave it to me more for A ) this article to read: Tricky Job - Choosing the Right Name For Your Child by Teh Kok Tiong. She just had to remind me that Scout will have a Chinese name.

Today, I didn't have to worry about food. I was thinking about it this morning, but a colleague of mine offered me part of her home-cooked lunch meal because she brought in a lot. It was ginger chicken and rice. She just simply likes to share food. It's not unusual for us to share food. We like each other's cooking. A's a fan of her sambals and curries, goes without saying that I shall leave some of the chicken for A.
In case I forgot to mention, this colleague of mine is a bully as well, but one of the ones that you'll love in your lifetime. This one gets to bully me into eating healthy - mostly organic food and fruits. She would even share recipes with me. Later on in the afternoon, another colleague sponsored merienda in the form of a pizza. We tried a different establishment this time - El Buono Pizza. We ordered their 36-inch 4-flavored pizza. Despite the size of the pizza, it actually tastes good. Crust isn't as oily as the other brands. The massive pizza had some leftovers, so we brought some of them home. You might ask what makes food sharing special today when it's been going on for frequently? Every time food is shared, it's a special day because it's a blessing. We should always remember to recognize an
It turns out to be caramel candy. It's softer than Tootsie Roll, but eventually melts if kept in room temperature for a very long period of time. I'm not a complete fan of caramel because I find it too sweet, but I'll probably play with it in the kitchen and see how it goes as a baked goodie.
Writing prompt for the day: Talk about the best prank you ever pulled.
I'm no prankster, but I love making surprises. Among the surprises that I've tried to pull, this one required the assistance of people from another continent and one of the top chocolatiers in the world. Yet somehow, this nipped me back in the butt. This happened a few years back. So, here's the scenario: - guy's overseas for an event by himself - went together with some colleagues (who brought their respective significant others to spend Valentine's Day in one of the most beautiful places in the world) - I sort of feel sorry that he may be alienated with all the love going around on the most romantic day of the year What to do? People say that I look young for my age. Then again, it may be my mental age manifesting. A gets the same comment as well - to an extent that people think I'm the older one. Some people just have a false perception of reality. I was trying out a site called RealAge that's supposed to give you your real age based on your biological age vs. lifestyle. And here's what I got: Now who wouldn't love a result like that?!?
Hey A, I told you I look young! And I have the test results to prove it =) It's day 1 of my NaBloPoMo entry for July. It's a good thing that I have writing prompts to guide me. It was a struggle for me at first to come up with a favorite joke - not because I have the absence of one, it's more of I have a number of them.
Laughter has been infused to me by my family as a means of going through life's ups and downs. I guess it's also why I ended up choosing someone who can make me laugh as a partner. Life isn't easy, so I need a laughing company to go through it. |
