Nest Building at Play and Display

Well, you know me when it comes to the "s" word... I go in to see if there's anything interesting.

I've been looking at mirrors for a number of months now for our dining area. It's easy to find one, it's just that I have something more specific and a little bit detailed in mind. It's not easy to find a silver-framed mirror with an antiqued look that won't break the pocket. Unfortunately, most of the ones that I've been attracted to cost more than Php10k!

I've been seeing Play and Display's sale sign at their store along EDSA for some time now, but couldn't make a visit until today due to our busy skeds lately.

Upon seeing these modern, swirled plastic chairs, which were on sale by the way at Php1,500 each, it just reminded me that we're still looking for dining chairs haha!

I guess this is not the chairs for us as we were advised that all their chairs of this design are sold out. I wasn't surprised with the news.

Anyway, as we strolled around the store, It's hard not to notice these cute ceramic poodles. They even have it in pink! I was thinking of buying one, but am still not decided if we'd go for a French or Zen-themed living space. Decisions, decisions...

The lamps are at 30% off. Good selections to choose from, just not really planning on buying another one after
buying this Bauhaus floor lamp at eBay for just 1k. I guess it was more of a tough act to follow.

Behind the lamps were a pair of big mirrors with an antique frame. It's being sold at 50% off for Php4,500 each.

I showed it to A. He said it's OK, but we both wanted a full-length one to avoid hanging it on the wall. So around the store we went again. We found a full-length one with gold trimming and detailed carving (forgot to take a photo). On sale at 50% with a discounted price of Php6,500. There were still some available, but not too keen on getting one.

As we move around some more, we saw this lone silver-framed full-length mirror.

The frame is not as detailed as the gold one, but it reminded me of the studs on our chairs, which will be getting a makeover too, but we'll be keeping the studs feature. So, I thought that they would blend well.

It's on sale at 50% also, same price as the gold one, but decided to get this one. Despite buying it at half the price, I'd still put this on my splurge list. Nonetheless, we're happy with it. At least that's one item off our list. On to the next one!
