(image from Mackinaw City Canada Store) | Now that a number of our colleagues are back from their annual home leaves, we have a surge of goodies from their trips. Yay annual home leaves! One of them brought a couple of big bags of Maple Kisses from Canada. Before opening them, I asked the goodie-giver what it was and answered "I don't know what they are, but it says maple kisses." That's very reassuring to hear from someone who wants to shove something up your throat. Unfortunately for me, the unopened bag was placed beside my desk and people are bound to ask me the same question. So, might as well be the first victim. |
It turns out to be caramel candy. It's softer than Tootsie Roll, but eventually melts if kept in room temperature for a very long period of time. I'm not a complete fan of caramel because I find it too sweet, but I'll probably play with it in the kitchen and see how it goes as a baked goodie.
