I started the day with looking for a wedding gift. It's not that I started doing things at the last minute as I've have a clear idea on what we would be giving them... a candelabra. I remember her giving use 2 things for our wedding - tea pot and candelabra. Her mother suggested these things because they symbolize giving luck to the married couple. A and I would like to wish them for a good married life also. Apparently, it's not easy to find a candelabra here, if not, tacky-looking. I ended up going to 168 and found some nice, crystal candelabras at a really good price (what else could we expect from 168?).
After buying the candelabra, I passed by the gownmaker to get my gown. To our surprise, I lost an inch off my waist after just 3 weeks since my measurements were taken. So, that means I couldn't wear the gown in time for the wedding. Not really going on a panic, mode, I decided to go to Rustan's to buy one. Very pleased with the ones (yes, ones...I bought more than 1 because it was on sale) I bought, I went back home to wrap the gift. Unfortunately, I didn't make it in time for the ceremony (really sorry Faye!).
When I got to Edsa Shangri-la for the reception, I saw these yummies on the table:
Hard to resist, but I've managed to contain myself. Hooray! I passed the marshmallow test =)
It's nice to be with old friends after years of not seeing one another:
I wasn't able to have a photo with Faye for obvious reasons. So, I'll just wait for the wedding photos either from Jamie or Faye hehe
Today is a lot to be thankful for day!
