Wanting to avoid the tidious task of having to dust off the powdered sugar individually, I went online in search of a basic recipe. After reviewing the recipe ingredients and steps, I've decided to go with this one from Betty Crocker. Only thing I won't be doing here is rolling off the cookies in powdered sugar. Though I did a little experimenting by adding some cocoa powder on some of the cookie dough.
After the cookies have been baked, I tried to taste it. A would like it for sure, but I need to satisfy my sugar cravings. So, I thought of using chocolate ganache. Who do I turn to for the recipe? Recipe Girl, of course! And as expected, I found what I was looking for here. I just drizzled the ganache over some of the cookies as some were left ganache-free for A.
Who says you can't bake a cookie and eat it too? Oh right, that was for a cake. And yes, I find dusting off the powdered sugar from a Russian Snowball more tedious than having to make one =)
