I wasn't expecting any benefit from it. Just go there and be done with it. Apparently, I was the first guest to come in, which was a bit awkward. The spa people just arrived as well and were starting to set up. So, I was giving myself a tour of the living room by disturbing the afternoon peace of:
When the crew was finished setting up, this is how it looked like:
While the rest went for massages and/or pedicure, I just had the special foot spa (foot spa + massage). Not really a fan of massage, but I did like the one at Chi Spa (but that's another story).
I was close to bored during the whole party except for the part wherein I watch all the other ladies get the same shade of nail polish. They tried to get me to do it, but failed.. Things changed when we were all at the dinner table. I guess when things get personal and I started to get to know each of them beyond professional level, it made me appreciate each of them more. Come to think of it, I (and A) were the only non-lawyers there. Not that it even mattered to begin with.
There were a lot of firsts for me that day and it's a good thing that I decided to come.
Now for thos who would like to have a spa party, might be a good idea to try it out for yourself.
