Shop Finds: Starbucks Recycled Coffee Press By Bodum

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but there's something about being able to make yourself a good cup of coffee. When I'm at Starbucks, I would usually order a 4-cup press if I'm with company. Well, mostly because it's more economical since it just costs below Php150 if I remember correctly. That's a good price for sharing for 4 people. You could ask for steamed milk for free. You'd pretty much have more control on the amount of sugar and milk that goes into your cup. 

Although, we do have a De'Longhi espresso and cappuccino maker, it can be quite tiresome to clean that machine. I wanted to get an 8-cup coffee press for our home.

I've always wanted a Bodum coffee press, but it costs so much here. So, I ended up with a rather lengthy waiting time to finally get myself one. Taste Central had it on sale before, but it sold out quickly.

I was buying a drink at Starbucks, when I saw that they were selling a "recycled coffee press". I can be quite a sucker in campaigns that try to save the planet and do what I can to contribute to it. Of course, seeing that it's from Starbucks and the press is made by Bodum, I'm still expecting a hefty price tag. When I picked up the 8-cup press to take a closer look, it's just Php 1,095! I checked on the 4-cup and it was priced at Php895. You could easily guess which one I got.
