I'm usually up for a good pair of comfy shoes. I'm not a shoe freak, I just keep some basic ones - casual and formal heels in black, off white, and brown; a pair of rain boots, and; red flats. Having only a pair of flats (in a striking color also), told me that I need another pair in a neutral color. Shoes can be a challenge for me since I have wide feet. So, comfort IS a big issue.
I was with my friend, Eliza, at the NBC Tent for the Karl Edwards Bazaar. We were just wandering around aimlessly. Then she stopped at this stall selling shoes called Sole Sister. They have nice designs. As Eliza was trying on a pair, the lady at the stall said the shoes are very comfy and doesn't need a "break-in" period. OK, the break-in part caught my attention, though I didn't try on a pair. Eliza said she'll think about buying it. When we got out of the Tent, I asked her how much those cost. She said she didn't ask, but they are comfortable (mental note taken).
While browsing Deal Dozen one time, I chanced upon a deal offer for Sole Sister for PHP499 a pair. For that price, sure, I'll try the brand. I bought a voucher and claimed a pair. I ended up choosing this one:
I tried it on. The pair really is comfy. Good thing that it has side air holes to give my feet room to breath.
It has non-skid soles also. Only thing I'm complaining about it is the heel portion of the sole. It breaks off easily from the main sole (which my feet have managed to detach in just a week). For a PHP500 pair, I'd let the sole issue pass, but it's a different story if I were to buy it at a regular price. I hope Sole Sister does something about the sole issue. Other than that, it has managed to become my daily flats.
