Taking off from this idea, I'm also considering a stuffed slipcover headboard.
Welcome back nest building!
With the new bed on the way, I finally have the time to sit down and look at headboard designs (well, at least for another hour and a half before A and I go out on an early date). I like a tufted headboard, but I'm not a fan of big items also. That alone is a challenge already. So, I ended looking for alternative headboard designs.
I move around when I sleep. So, if my hand hits this headboard, it's going to give me the ouchies. Solution for consideration: padded folded screen headboard. (image from Decoist) Now, what other options have I found? Pillowed headboards! It's light, stuffed, and washable. (images from Bedroom Decor Ideas) This makes more sense to me. I can mix and match the pillows depending on my mood for the week (laundry day once a week and I don't want the pillow to accumulate too much dust). Taking off from this idea, I'm also considering a stuffed slipcover headboard. (image from Our Suburban Cottage) I'm really glad that I found a new sewer who knows how to handle upholstery. My original slipcover/pillowcase lady went overseas for greener pastures. So, my projects started to pile up. Now, I can start working on the list again.
Welcome back nest building!
