Here's the before and after shots of our "new" chairs:
I initially wanted the wood part to be colored white or silver, but Mang Rolando said that would involve taking the whole thing apart because the existing chocolate brown paint has to be stripped. He says it would cost more if we pushed through with it. Since he's the expert and the print on the fabric matches the existing color of the wood, we kept the chocolate brown body.
The fabrics were actually curtains that I got on sale at Php300 a piece (I got 2 pieces). It was a bit difficult to find a turquoise fabric, so it took me months to actually find this one. It was worth all those mall trips!
The chairs are the only furniture in our abode that uses a printed fabric. So, they're actually the accent pieces that binds our living and dining areas. Our peony storage bench blends really well with the damask chairs.
Now off to more projects to get giddy about!
