I was about to begin trying out this strawberry cupcake recipe from gastronomyblog when A came home. He asked me if he can help me in the kitchen (am just not sure if it was a rhetorical question), so he ended up taking Baking 101 with me.
I realized eventually that prep time will take longer than usual as I had to do the initial demo and explain terms and concepts to him as we go along with the recipe. At least he was curious enough to ask follow-through questions.

The cupcake itself is light, though not as fluffy as I hoped it would be. Taste is rather sweet, which is actually my fault as I forgot to decrease the amount of sugar since I used strawberries in sugar syrup to begin with (it's what we have in the fridge). Nonetheless, he did well on his first attempt.
Now who wouldn't be proud to have a spousal unit who tries to learn what you're passionate about?
