I saw this line today in Facebook. Manila has been underwater severely for the past couple of days. People have died, many have been displaced, hundreds of thousands need our help. Being sad about the incident is one thing, but we need to do our share in helping those in need. As I watch the news for the past 2 days, I see problems pouring in and at the same time, see solutions being provided.
Many rescue and relief operations have been running non-stop. Even 12,000 inmates have sacrificed their food rations so that it can be donated to the flood victims. Every Juan has been pitching in what they can. Some have even tried maximizing the use of social media to keep everyone else informed on what the situation is, how one can help. Various establishments and even houses of the average Juan have opened its doors to help.
