It's the first day of the year. One of the major firsts on our list this year is moving to a new home. I've been racking my brains researching on design concepts on how to decorate our new abode.

I've been considering a French style, but we do have a number of oriental things in the household. After much research in looking for design inspiration, I finally found one style that can marry both - chinoiserie! Chinoiserie is a French term referring to a western interior design style having a Chinese influence incorporated in it.

The 2 photos above would be our color scheme. It looks quite flashy, I know, but that's what we got after our Feng Shui consultation. Now you know why it's taking me a longer time to come up with a concept that will work.
