Our Singaporean geomancer's back in town and in search of an addition to his list of favorite places to eat in Manila. I've been raving about this dimsum supplier that I go to who opened up a restaurant serving the best Hainanese Chicken in town, Tao Yuan (Sorry Wee Nam Kee, you've disappointed us twice in Manila. Now we have to go all the way to Singapore just to enjoy your meal.)
Anyway, the place only accepts dinner reservations for 6 and 8pm (with a 15-minute grace period before they give your slot away to another diner). Any other time is on a first come, first served basis. We had to wait since we came in around 9ish after dropping my brother off at the airport.
While waiting for a table, we got a copy of the menu. As we were going through the list, we were also looking at the food that's being served. The vegetables on some of the dishes look so vibrant that it makes the dish look even more appetizing. It was making us hungry!
We were just waiting for one more diner to leave before we could have our table when we were asked to place an order. Didn't take us a little bit more to finally get a table and it took an even shorter while for our orders to start coming in.
As expected, the food taste and quality lived up to our standards (geomancer's VERY happy that he told the manager he would be bringing his clients there). Price is more expensive as compared to other SIngaporean restaurants, but you get what you pay for.
Now you guys know where to take your Singaporean guests when they visit Manila =)
