Tea drink shops have sprouted like mushrooms, though I welcome their presence. Most of them have similar tastes, so I don't exactly have a favorite, but A and I agree that Happy Lemon is NOT worth going back to. Anyway, at last there's one near my workplace. Well, there are other tea drink places nearby like Gong Cha in Megamall and Sip at Robinson's Galleria, but this is the closest one. So, that's actually a plus point for Drink Tea.
I was on a movie date errand for A when I chanced upon Drink Tea at the Podium. I'm always up for a tea drink and the weather was scorching hot that time. So, I gave it a try. There was nothing special about the menu. I'm hoping the taste would be OK. What I did notice about it is that they use pink pearls. At first I thought that they have the pink lovers as captured market already haha
I was greeted by a lady who looks like the store manager (if not the owner) of the tea drink place. She's actually quite chatty enough to get me into a conversation and wanted to hangout in the shop more.
According to her, those pink pearls (roselle pearls) have detoxification effects. I'm not sure if it's supposed to taste different from the regular tapioca pearls, but I couldn't seem to taste it.
All in all, the experience was good. Adding in the detox effect and proximity to the work place, this is definitely my office tea drink place!
