It's Not Perfume. It's Downy Attraction: A DIY Reed Diffuser
I've been trying to figure out how to make our bathroom smell nice. I placed a small tub of charcoal to neutralize the scent, but I like bathrooms that smell clean and fresh. Our bathroom would get that moment after we do our weekly general cleaning and when some clothes are left there to dry.
Candles are good to have around, but you can't leave them unattended (even if it is in the bathroom). Aromatherapy burners would stop giving off scent when the oil's gone cold. So, I was more of in search for something that would continue to keep the room smelling nice without the use of fire. Not a fan of potpourri too.
Reed diffusers have been here for a while. I get the concept, but not the price tag. Though I think it fits my requirement. Seems like a simple science project, and I have more than enough time to do things lately that I might as well make one. For the prototype, I had to make do with what we already have at home. Essentially, you only needs 3 things:
bamboo skewers
good smelling liquid (I could only find Downy Attraction for now, but it smells fresh. It'll do)
container to place the above 2 items in

I had to use 2 containers: one to dilute the fabric softener in water (scent might be too strong if I use it undiluted) and one glass bottle.
Moving on, just snip the pointed tips of the skewer. Pour in your liquid of choice into the bottle and place the skewer into the liquid. And there you have it! Should keep the bathrooms smelling
