Dining Out: WFH...More of WFCBTL

This has got to be one of those moments wherein I really appreciate working in a room with a view..or at least in this case, hanging out in a cafe with a park view.

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf has always been my favorite chill out place since my MBA days. Comfy, cozy, not as crowded as Starbucks. A place where I can actually relax and enjoy my drink.

After going graphic-intensive yesterday on a project that I'm making, I decided to have a change of view and opted for something more relaxing to look at...and away from the bed, TV, and other distractions.
I could actually stay here the whole day, but unfortunately, I have to go to work to attend a meeting for a couple of hours. Cruel, cruel world...

Where do you guys go to chill out?

Dining Out: SunDate At Espressamante Illy

A and I haven't been to Rockwell in a while, so we decided to visit and spend some chill time together. We usually go to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, but I remember that he hasn't tried Espressamente Illy yet.

One of the things that I like about Espressamente Illy is that is has seats along the bridgeway. With their outdoor furniture to sink into and the mall skylight to bask in, we wouldn't mind hanging out for a while.

Dining Out: Filipino Dining At Elias

With so many restaurants opening here at the Fort, A and I have been going around trying them out (thus, explaining my frequent visit to the gym). One of the places that we've tried at the new wing of BHS is Elias. It's a theme restaurant that specializes in Philippine colonial cuisine. It belongs to the same group as Crisostomo Restaurant.

Dining Out: Takoyaki Love

A and I LOVE Japanese food. I like to nibble on Takoyaki (Octopus Balls). The best one that I've tasted so far was from Gindaco. It's the only brand that I've tried that uses huge octopus chunks. You get to choose your own toppings also. Most of the ones I've tried are just full of batter. Unfortunately, we were in Hong Kong when I got to taste Gindaco.

Dining Out: Mexicali

Some food establishments have been managed to become one of my comfort food places to go to. Mexicali is one of them. It's more of one of those places I go to if I want to stuff myself with food and still be happy with what I ate. All these years, it still takes me a while to order because I can't decide on what to eat because I want to eat a number of items on their menu.

Dining Out: Heart-Shaped Mini Cakes From Park Avenue Desserts

I bought this voucher from Deal Grocer for 4 mini cakes from Park Avenue Desserts supposedly for special occasions in February: A's birthday, Heart's Day, and our wedding anniversary. The 4th mini cake is a "just because" cake haha As history tells it, there were some changes in the cake plans that I haven't gotten around in claiming these cakes until today.

Dining Out: Kristina's Inutak

One thing that is bound to get my attention easily is a food place that serves only one item and seems to attract many people. That's how it was while I was walking around Rockwell. I passed by this stall, where people are having a taste test. I then heard the person managing the store that they don't have anymore left to sell until after an hour when the new stocks come in. Hmm, definitely worth looking into.

Dining Out: Jamba Juice

It was a rainy afternoon. A wanted to walk around since the wind is blowing a cool breeze. I would've appreciated it more if it weren't for the wet roads. But hey, I wouldn't say no to a leisure walk with A. We went to the new C section of Bonifacio High Street where a number of food establishments have already opened up as the rest of the area is being developed. Despite the ongoing construction of the area, one can still savor the view of its fountain and ampitheater.

Since it was raining, we opted to put a roof over our head while enjoying the cool breeze as we sip a large cup of Jamba Juice. Not a typical venue wherein one would see the likes of me (maybe A, but not I), but I wasn't hungry enough to try the other establishments in the area that time.

Sometimes, it doesn't take much to convince me to try something out. When I saw this ad today and realized that today is the last day of the promo, I dragged A, my mom, and my sister to Share Tea.
